Strong Croatia-USA economic relations already exist, and it is claimed that they are continuously strengthening.
“This most recent meeting has confirmed the interest of US companies in investing in Croatia and opens up new opportunities for such cooperation. We particularly emphasised the importance of ratifying the Double Taxation Agreement (DTA), which would significantly improve our mutual trade and investment relations,” said Minister Šušnjar.
Croatian exports to the US have been recording strong growth, while increasing US investments in Croatia further confirm the attractiveness of the local business environment. In addition to trade and investments, a key area of cooperation has also been identified in the energy sector. The expansion of the LNG terminal on Krk and the development of hydrogen technologies position Croatia as a key energy player in this region, opening up additional opportunities for partnerships with American companies.

Many of them recognise Croatia as an attractive market with fantastic potential for growth and innovation. During the visit of the American delegation, we expect additional discussions and concrete steps that will enable stronger economic cooperation between the two countries. We believe that this cooperation will bring mutual benefits and contribute to the further strengthening of economic ties,” said Lyons.
