Australian Businessman Has Plans For Rijeka 3 Maj Shipyard
February the 25th, 2025 – Australian businessman Glen Moroney has some significant vessel construction plans at the Rijeka 3 Maj shipyard.
As Morski writes, late last week, well known Australian businessman Glen Moroney visited the Rijeka 3 Maj shipyard and his associates at MKM Yachts, which is a sub-concessionaire and business partner of 3 Maj 1905″ following a long-term cooperation agreement, Novi List reports.
The steel profiles and sheets for the future new vessel of the Scenic group have now arrived at the Rijeka 3 May shipyard. The Scenic group’s fleet operates a total of twenty-seven cruisers which are mostly comprised of river cruisers. There are however four sea cruisers in their portfolio. What exactly will emerge on the Rijeka slipways in the next year and a half, when the launch of this new large Scenic vessel is planned, remains a mystery.
The only thing currently known that the value of this massive project amounts to around 250 million euros and that it will be Scenic’s largest ocean cruiser to date, which could be over 200 metres long.
This type of vessel is a new generation of our Eclipse ships. It will be larger than the previous ones, and it will also be distinguished by impressive new features. That follows the line of Scenic’s leadership in the application of new technologies while also combining them seamlessly with modern luxury.
“With this vessel, we’ll be setting new standards in ultra-luxury cruising, and we’re planning to reveal details later this year. We don’t want to release any more information at this point in time, not until all the details are finalised,” Australian businessman Glen Moroney told Novi List when discussing his plans at the Rijeka 3 Maj shipyard.
