Start your day with what for me is probably the best hotel breakfast in all Croatia, especially if you combine the view and chill factor – I have never had a breakfast here that takes less than an hour, a perfect chill spot. Enjoy the award-winning wellness, then round off your day with a cocktail at Top Bar, whose panoramic view of the castle, main, square, riva and Pakleni Islands is hard to beat.

Amfora

The largest hotel on the island, and the first choice for families, if only for its magnificent cascading pools in front of the hotel. Located about 15 minutes’ walk from the centre in its own bay, Amfora offers a wealth of choice and relaxation options, as well as the prime wedding location with its magnificent Bonj les Bains 1930s colonnade.

Riva Marina

Talk about a prime piece of real estate, located band in the centre of Hvar’s exclusive riva, Riva Marina has undergone a stylish, more classical makeover inside, while outside, it remains one of the top viewing spots (and places to be seen) on the island. Even if you don’t stay, come for breakfast, and while away a couple of relaxing hours in paradise.

Beach Bay

Explore the newly renovated Beach Bay Hotel, a peaceful haven in the town center. Perched on the beach, it offers its guests unforgettable sea views. Located not far from the riva, overlooking a popular bay and the historic Franciscan monastery.

Pharos

The first hotel in Croatia for the millennial market, Pharos is, for me, the hidden gem in the Suncani fleet. It is a great base for active holidays, and indeed hosted the Bahrain Merida cycling team for winter training for three years. It is also the quietest place to stay in peak season, set back from the waterfront and in a residential area. Cool vibe for the younger crowd, and a great place to chill by day.

Sirena

Looking to escape the crowds and more on a budget? Nestled in an idyllic bay a little out of the centre lies Hotel Sirena, perfect for chilling and unwinding, and with outstanding views of the Pakleni Islands.
